I hadn't even heard of it until I googled it after reading this post! I never keep up on new movies or music though so I am always the last to know about these things.

From the small amount I read about it just now it doesn't look like my kind of movie so I probably won't watch it. If I wanted to my husband wouldn't care at all.

I don't see an issue with it. It's just a movie.

I don't consume porn..."as such." That being said, I wouldn't be bothered if my wife went to see this flick. I wouldn't let her live it down either though! We have a tradition of picking on one another mecilessly if one of us likes something the other finds gauche or for being attracted to someone the other finds corny. I catch hell for some of the tv I watch or movies I like. It's all in good fun

FINALLY I see what this is. My friends are dying over this movie and being quite inappropriate about it. I had no desire...somehow I keep thinking "Mad Max" when I see the title, but now I have nooo desire to see this movie.

Funny too how my single friends dont' give a rat's arse about it either.

Maybe because most movies are designed with the woman being objectified, in a way? So now it's like women have a chance to go watch something like this...but, is it a comedy?

For what it's worth, I think male strippers are hilarious. I don't find them sexy or arousing. lol...Not at all.

Strip shows for women are about the physycal interaction of the audience with the strippers so a movie is pretty passive unless it was X rated I suppose. But even then it would not be the same as actually going to a show itself.

I took my wife to see Brides Maids and the audience was heavy with GNO groups expecting something else than what was delivered I suspect. I think we all expected there to be a wild bachelorette scene but it never happened. Maybe Magic Mike delivered on that but I will withhold comment until I actually see it.

We did go to the movies on the 4th and there was a long line for Magic Mike. No guys in the line at all. We saw TED BTW.
well.... how was ted? give the report.

I don't need to see this movie, I have my own "Magic Mike" at home. My husband has even done the sexy dance-strip for me.

I haven't seen the movie, nor had I even heard of the movie.
Two days ago, my husband asked if I was going to see it? I told him probably not. He gave me his permission to go and watch it with my sister. I'm still not going to see it.
I think that if a wife has a problem with a man watching porn and he respects her, then the wife should do the same.

My wife and went and were talking about with a friend for an hour trying to convince me to watch the kids while she goes out. She had to try to convince me because I thought it was really stupid of me to readily agree while living in such a sexless marriage. But like a fool I buckled...of course nothing change in her attitude after seeing the movie.

In our particular case...I dont think watching that movie did anything good for my marriage. She's still ice cold and every second I spend in that house angers me.

And another thing...the male dancing world is far far different from the female world.

Many of the female establishments have strict standards...not so much in the male world.

My wife and some friends and co-workers are planning on seeing it, and that's fine with me.

In all honesty, when it comes to the real world, my wife prefers female strippers. The club we go to is down the street from a male strip club. We've invited others to join us when we go, and the woman in one couple said that her bf can go with me and suggested she and my wife to to the male strip club down the street...she declined. My wife's interest in the movie isn't that it's buff, mostly naked guys...but that it's mostly naked Joe Mangienello from True Blood and Mostly naked Channing Tatum.

Of course, I've been known to watch a movie or tv show for similar reasons. The only reason I saw the first American Pie was to hear Alyson Hannigan talk filthy. ;-)

I have a good friend that is quite the cutter anyway he had this hairbrained scheme that if he became a male dancer it would be a great way to meet chicks anyway he went to La Bare in Dallas and tried out and made it so he started dancing for like a week I asked him why he quit he said That he ended up getting hit on by more guys "Fellow Dancers" than females I just laughed my ass off
