Summer Travel plans
If you know us, you know my wife and I are not exactly homebodies. And so that leads us to an interesting stretch of weeks and weekends ...
Last weekend we camped out in Mt. Rainier National Park. Unbelievably beautiful, but also everything that LFFA doesn't like about camping (Cold ... you get your hands dirty, you might crack a nail or scuff a toe if you don't wear closed toed shoes ). That was just a weekend outing, but it was SO GOOD!
In two weeks, we're going to Banff National Park in Alberta. I'm very excited about that ... and again, it'll be everything LFFA doesn't like ... with the added hazard of brown bears .
Then I have to come back off of vacation a week early in order to take a work trip with my wife and son to Cancun ... that's right, some people really do work there, and I'm going to have to be one of them ... it's a tough job sometimes, but maybe you can understand why I'd come off vacation a week early for that. I wouldn't do that for just everybody, but I really like these guys (Yeah, that's my story and I'm stickin' with it ... ). Then, when we get back, we'll take that other week of vacation we'll have to postpone to go work in Cancun ... I don't know yet where we'll go, but I know we'll go.
This weekend, we're talking about how we need to get out of the house (as if we're ever in it ... ). We don't know yet where we're going to go, but we know we're going to go.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to take a week in August in Phoenix ... but that can be okay, too ...
I'm still working on that trip back to Korea. My wife says she'll be in my luggage if she has to be in order to take that trip with me.

I plan to take D on an impromptu week long holiday at some point - don't know where yet, last minute deal, somewhere in Europe, somewhere she can practice her Spanish preferably...

Hmm ... I'm thinking Spain would be a good place for that .
Oh man, being a smartass is still what I do best .
Seriously, though ... it sounds like the perfect excuse to go to Spain.

So what're you guys up to?
Umm you do mean grizzly bears when you say brown bears right? There are grizzlies in Banff. Posted via Mobile Device
Well I had to make a trip to this island for business during this week...[ hint, it's a popular tourist destination in the Caribbean.]
God, the water looked sooooo beautiful that I just wanted to jump off the ferry and jump in!
I couldn't resist taking some pictures with my mobile.
I was only able to spend just a few hours. I had to fly back home for another appointment.
But I promised my wife to take her there before the summer season is out.
I have no plans for travel this summer. Can't afford to take my kids anywhere and my guy is doing a vacation with just him and his daughter. So I'm going to be stuck at home. Well at least my kids went on vacation with their dad, and will be going on another vacation with him in August.
I am planning on taking my kids to Maui in 2 years. I am starting to scrape together every spare penny I can. Hopefully I can manage it, they're extremely excited about it, and so am I. I figure 2 years will give me a good amount of time to get the plane fare for all 5 of us and hotel and fun money together. I at least want to take them on one very nice vacation in their lives.
wife and i are packing the bike up today, and leaving from the pittsburgh pa. area tomorrow morning. headed to vermont, maine, and down the eastern coast. excited about this trip, as i've always gone south or west.

Here's one of the pic...
We went an island off the coast here recently, and that reminds me of it.. our water isn't near a blue though, very pretty.
Shy_guy - sounds like fun! Perhaps when our twins are older and our financial situation improves, we'll be more wordly in our travels . It's certainly a dream of ours!
Yes. Grizzlies are brown bears and the ones I was talking about. Posted via Mobile Device
Just making sure you weren't thinking black bear, brown bear and grizzly. Whole different animal - the grizzly bear. We used to camp lots in Banff and Jasper. Posted via Mobile Device
