Re: NYE Music for the TAM Surfer

In case you are wondering who they were talking about in that comedy short, here is a link to (Richard)**** Tady.

He is or was a really great act for those interested in that genre of music. He did really well for himself and deserved it. Still, it's kind of humorous when you think about the comedy skit.

Re: NYE Music for the TAM Surfer

Happy Festivus to all!

Hey, seriously, if you have to go shopping today and tomorrow, you'll be on edge. I know because I've done it. You have your husband or wife on your back. You have mom and dad asking what you are going to do for the holiday. You have almost enough money to get everyone what you planned.

Step back. Take a few deep breaths. Park your car and put on some nice soft music to relax you. Say a prayer, if that is your way. Whatever you do, just remember what is important. It's that you care. If you love them, they'll know. If you haven't let them know, it's not too late. Just don't try to buy them a bunch of stuff at the last minute to show them how much you love them.

Give yourself the gift of compassion and forgiveness. Let it go for now. In the new year, you can learn how to manage your time and priorities a little better. Get out to see and offer assistance or some kindness to those on your mind. They will be much more appreciative if you do things for them over the span of the year, than to just get them a gift you think will make up for what you didn't do.

That's my wish for you all. Don't let it get to you. Don't do something you'll regret. Love is more than presents. If you have to beat someone up to get a gift, you might as well let that person have it. You don't know how to love.

Let's cut back the violence this year. Let's make it a really peaceful and joyful holiday.

Anyone remember that song?

Sometimes I wonder, as I look in your eyes, maybe you're thinking of some other guy?

2ntnuf, for a thread you said you were going to delete the next morning, it sure has stood the test of time. Almost 4 years and still going strong.

Re: NYE Music for the TAM Surfer

It's almost unbelievable how much I have at times questioned deleting it. It is still a refuge for me and I hope a comfort for many who come to TAM, but are too afraid to join and post their personal issues.

It was those thoughts that made me give it the name, "for the TAM surfer". I guess it's an old term, "surfing the web". It's what I knew. I found myself posting songs at times that helped me get my anger out, make me feel empathy, show my sadness, my love and my happiness.

I'm thankful for all of those who have come here and clicked on a song or read a post or two. It makes me feel good that others can let go of their pain for just a little while.

Many members have come and gone in four years. Some day, someone else will have to take up the torch. I hope it continues until there is no more reason to have a marriage site. I couldn't see a future back then. I see something now, but I don't know what it is, yet. I'm still searching...surfing TAM and considering who I am.

Merry Christmas @3putt. Thank you.
