ME by draconis
I have been on this forum for some time and as much as I have talked with other people I have never really talked about myself. So I figured for my 1000th post I would make it different and special.
THE PEOPLE THAT SHAPED ME
Father ~ I was never close to my father growing up for more then one reason. I actually preferred to avoid him then ask him for anything. Since I have forgiven him and he has changed into a much better person even though he has a quick temper and a short fuse.
Mother ~ I always aspired to be what my mother was to me. Loving, caring and the person that sacrificed for the family. I saw little of her growing up but each moment was quality time. She worked hard and was the first women to get a mans job in the area. It took a toll on her physically and mentally. She wasn’t the traditional mom, however she made sure the family had what it needed, even if we never got what we wanted, it took years to understand I grew up in poverty but maybe I was better for it. I also know that my mother did everything she could for me even though she was already stretched thin.
Grand father ~ War hero, strong, workaholic like my mother. Everywhere I went someone knew him well and had great things to say about him.
Grand mother ~ Inner strength of a women before it was common. For my senior year I lived with her due to problem at my house. She was one who helped guide me.
My first true love ~ I was always a romantic but never knew love to a higher level until her. After her I would search for it again for a long time until it found me.
MARRIAGE
My first marriage was when I was 21. She was a nice girl and my best friend. I worked hard like my family had always done putting in over a hundred hours a week but providing everything we wanted in the house. However, after our child was born she started to get lonely and I never knew until the day I walk in on her with another man.
My marriage was over, there and then. We never had argued even during the divorce. In fact the first time through the judge refused to give us the divorce because we were so civil to each other.
We are still friends to this day, but know that we could never work as a couple. We have a child together, I have custody but the mother can see the child when ever she wants. She is a good parent. Her and my current wife are friends.
POST MARRIAGE
I searched around and finally gave up on dating when I met my current wife. I was lucky to have found her.
TODAY
I feel as if I have the perfect marriage to a wonderful women. She is driven like my mother and grand father. With my child from my first marriage and the three we have together we have four kids from 13 years old to two. The oldest has mild autism. The second oldest born a premmie has had several physical issues even 8 years later.
ME
I am rather an open person with the right questions. I do not give personal information but I am willing to help people were and when I can.
I love gaming so much I own a store for it. I love forums and post about 100 posts a day on several different forums. Some I value more then others like this forum because it really helps people and I am willing to get into the advice. It is hard because I really start to feel for people and sense there hurt. It is always nice to hear when people come back and have fixed problems. It doesn’t matter if I was an ear to blow off steam or someone whose advice was the key.
I also like computers.
One thing some do know about me, specially those that have been to my myspace is that I have a rare form of MD which I have struggled with. I have battled it and been consumed by it. I have gotten depressed and over come many things they said I couldn’t.
I am still battling with weight though I am not that far gone but I am a shadow before the onset of the advanced stages of the MD set in. I want to be healthy again.
WELL,
That is me in a nut shell, I want to thank these forums which have come to be a cyber home for me and to the admin Chris for all he has done hee.

Wow Darconis! Great 1000th post. I think I knew a good bit of that from reading all of your posts over the last 4 months, but it's always good to get to know someone better, for the new people especially.
I really like the part:

I feel really bad for some of the people who post here that are in really tough situations too. You provide a great service with all of the feedback you give those people. Regardless of whether or not they like it or take it, I have a feeling that it helps many people to just to sit down and write about their problems.
I'm so glad you found our site, I hope you stick around!

It sounds like you have come full circle and have a great life. Congrats on your 100th post and I would also like to say you have a great way with words. You have that knack of being honest and considerate to the persons feeling when you reply to them.

WOW...I am just reading this and glad that I did. Kudos to you and your family! Your wife sounds like an amazing woman as do your kids. It can't be easy dealing with Autism, I have always wanted to learn more about it, and even work with kids who have it. Great job on the post!

Re: ME by draconis
My oldest that has autism makes you learn to do and say things differently. Extremely intelligent (test 4 grades higher then the 13 years the child is) But unable to handle "dealing" with people and has to have a boxed in desk at school. If you were to say there is no running in school then even in a fire my oldest would walk out because running in school is wrong. It is hard to explain that there are grey areas in life.
Yes my wife is utterly amazing. She works a tough job 40 hours a week and goes to college full time. She loves World of Warcraft (drives me bonkers) but is always willing to help one of our children. She makes time for me and every time we meet or part it is always with a kiss and a hug.
Irony ~ We met dancing, I use to be good at it. She accepts how our lives are but I know that when we use to be able to go out and dance together she really enjoyed it.
I feel blessed with my family. I love them and recieve a lot of love from them.

Re: ME by draconis
I had to go in for tests because I pulled my diapham muscle and often the MD keeps things from healing.
They put a needle in my right wrist bruising it badly and it hurs to type. Mostly I am right handed now and often type with 7 fingers because three on my left hand have only 10% usage.
I hope to be full by monday or tuesday night.
Thanks for all the pms wishing me well and sorry I haven't been on in so long.
