Re: "Carson makes Jeb look like the energizer bunny"

Carson could debate you, remove your brain, cut out any offending parts, reassemble it, and jumpstart you, and then explain in ways a child could understand, why you're a screwed up mess and how you can improve. Unlike most of the other contenders from either side, Carson was born as a dirt poor minority and was raised by an illiterate single mother. Who has overcome more obstacles to achieve greatness? He has credibility. When he talks about poverty, he knows first-hand of what he speaks. When he talks of overcoming racism and poverty, no sane person can seriously dispute that he knows what he's talking about. He is able to serve as a personal inspiration and example of excellence.

Ben Carson does not waste any energy, that is for sure! Like Unbelievable said, he's got it all going on inside his head, and he is a man to be admired and respected.

I have the utmost respect for Carson, I just do not think he is a good politician or that he would make a good Commander in Chief.

Buckley Rule Guy here…I think Carson fails the major clause.

And for the record a lot of Black people like myself do not like Ben Carson. We do not need to have a black President to be convinced that he is concerned about issues of concern to people of color.

I feel that his remark comparing Obamacare to American slavery is highly irresponsible. As equally irresponsible as those who frequently compare things that don't like to Hitler and Nazism.

I don't need my POTUS to be a neurosurgeon just like I don't need my neurosurgeon to be a POTUS.

Has he ever been involved in healthcare administration? How do families who need his services are able to afford them? Is he aware of the families that hospitals he works for turn away? Does he care?

With all respect, African Americans have been voting for Democrat career politicians consistently for over 50 years. I don't see evidence that they have gained much for their loyalty. One of the things I like best about Carson is that he's not a career politician or career bureaucrat. As far as who cares the most for sick people, I think it'd be obvious that someone who had devoted his entire life to healing would have "caring" creds that no politician could dare question. Has Hillary ever put a bandaid on an injured finger? She "cares" for the poor? Based on what evidence? She has poor people living in her house? She's filthy rich! Has she expended her own money or her own time to heal the sick or help the poor?

Carson has been helping minorities with his own money for many years. He started non-profit organizations to award cash grants to high achieving students and he's also started 131 reading rooms across the country. He started these things in 1994 long before he got into politics. His most incredible surgical achievement was performed in South Africa, so I rather doubt the patient's family had to pay.

@unbelievable, what policies / laws have republicans pushed through that are favorable to black people?

What are the names of the organziations that Carson started and continues to fund?

That's conjecture on your part. Even if the family didn't have to pay, can you say for sure whether or not Carson got paid for the work? It's possible that foundations underwrite his surgeries and so families are left dancing around trying to fit the selection criteria to get the medical care that they need.

Well you see, that is the thing about Republicans.

We do not think it is the job of the Federal government of the United States to pass laws specifically to give one racial category or another a "leg up."

Weird, I know.

Certainly no more conjecture than your's, believing that he only performed medical services for well-insured people who could pay. I don't know that he made a nickle directly off that procedure. I do know that he understands poverty far better than Obama, Hillary, or Bernie Sanders. How could he not?

What are the names of these organizations that you say Carson funds?

Carson and his wife, Candy, have also been active philanthropists. In 1994, they established the Carson Scholars Fund to provide college scholarships to students who show academic excellence and perform community service. The organization has awarded more than 6,700 scholarships since 1996, the first year the scholarship was offered, and give out more than 500 awards each year.

Five things to know about Ben Carson - CBS News

http://carsonscholars.org/files/docu...ochure_v.7.pdf

In 1997, Dr. Carson was the primary surgeon in the team of South African and Zambian surgeons that separated type-2 vertical craniopagus twins (joined at the top of the head) in a 28-hour operation. It represents the first time such complexly joined siamese twins have been separated with both remaining neurologically normal. Most recently, Dr. Carson participated in the noble, but unsuccessful, humanitarian effort to separate adult Iranian craniopagus twins in Singapore.

Benjamin Solomon Carson, Sr., M.D.

You will note the word "humanitarian" in relation to the operation on Iranian twins in Singapore. That would suggest to me that he didn't do it for the money.

Re: "Carson makes Jeb look like the energizer bunny"

Ben Carson is President and Co-Founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, which operates in all 50 states and D.C and has awarded over $5.6 Million to more than 5,600 scholarship recipients. That includes the "Carson Reading Rooms" program which encourages young people to read and learn.

He is also the Co-Founder of "Angels of the OR" through the Baltimore Community Foundation, which provides grants to assist neurosurgery patients whose expense are not covered by insurance.

Dr. Ben Carson is almost universally respected as one of the most brilliant minds in modern medicine, receiving numerous awards and accolades including being named one of the nation's 20 Foremost physicians and scientists by CNN and TIME magazine, one of the 89 "Living Legends" of the Library of Congress, and was awarded the Ford's Theatre Lincoln Medal by President Bush in 2008.

I am not sure what you think are implying about Carson NextTimeAround, but suffice to say that man has done more good through medicine and charity to this point than most people in this country with ten times his net worth or political power.

Ben Carson also believes that being a Muslim should automatically disqualify you for President. Problem is, that sorta kinda PERFECTLY CONFLICTS with our Constitution. He also thinks you can "turn gay" in prison. He is the dumbest neurosurgeon there ever has been. Not the first guy to let his religion turn his brain to mush. Go ahead, tell me how intelligent he is? You can "know" a lot of stuff, and still be a completely retarded critical thinker, and that's what this absolute whack bomb is.

Or we can research exactly who Ben Carson's sugar daddy (Koch brothers, Adelson, Grover Norquist maybe) is for the elections. And then we learn the origins of his own beliefs.
