ABC and CBS are talking about a study done by scientists. I am not sure how you can say I have gone off track as you bring up Epstein in a thread about global warming.

Have fun, I'm done talking to you about this.

This is the type of argument a liberal uses when they don't have a clue how to refute assertions with proof.

Actually, the research article says the opposite of what you suggests based on the narrow experimentation model used. The principle (primary researcher) in this experiment served on the first IPCC panel. You might want to read and understand what you post if you are attempting a different outcome.

Climate research is not a liberal or conservative argument, it is a physics and chemistry argument.

Thank you for posting.

I didn't suggest anything in that post. ??

I was offering a study which shows CO2 has little effect on global warming, which was the last thing we were discussing. If you want to freeze the arctic, it would seem better to have more CO2 than less, by this study.

They were talking about the performance of double pane sealed windows with an inert gas between the panes.

But that is not what it says, please read the research article

I take it you did not understand the primary research

Re: Climate Change

Bibliographies are meaningful, please read them.

This we have no question about:

Without naturally occurring greenhouse gases, Earth's average temperature would be near 0°F (or -18°C) instead of the much warmer 59°F (15°C). The concentration of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide and methane.

@2ntnuf

Just to give context to the paper you posted, this is extremely important to understand

“ at the influence of natural convection as exhibited by the experimental work of Glaser”

So, they were looking at whether CO2 absorbed earths convection heat. This is non-solar radiative heat. Heat from earths internal sources. This study says nothing of the known greenhouse gases and how they contribute to our earths natural warming.

Right, CO2 does not cause the earth to warm nor trap heat.

It does, they were measuring a different source of heat.

Climate Change

We live on a warm planet at our core, literally, as result of our Big Bang origins. So, through that core, our planet puts out natural convection heat. They, the researchers, showed that this heat is not trapped via the natural greenhouse gases. However, naturally occurring greenhouse gases trap solar reflective heat. If it did not, our planet would have average temperatures of around -18C year round.

They even suggests as much.
