2009.

The year Bieber releases his first single.

Nah, it was still good to be a Canadian then.

Trump is a horrible monster that causes delusions in other people so he can eat them?

I’m not sure I disagree with you.

Re: Time to get this war going!

Trump’s one redeeming quality is that he campaigned on and up to now has pretty much been a dove when it comes to the ME. I just wish he would have followed up with more diplomacy (carrot) along with sanctions.

So, is he getting bad advice on his quest to be a war hawk, I hope not. He can end it before it gets out of hand.

Its my real problem with Trump... He has no experience or intelligence for what it takes to be President of the USA in today's world. Almost every decision he makes is from an ill-informed narcissistic perspective.

He was only a "dove" because he realized it was a way to gain acceptance by more people.

I agree. Get out. The west has attempted to run the Middle East for too long. Let them find their own way. In or out, but stop this schizophrenic two faced dance of being a frienemy.
I agree. Let's take Alberta and its tar sands.

Meh. I'll take a randomized sample of the nation's phone listings over any "experts". The "experts" think they know the why's of what is happening, not upon observation, but upon received wisdom. "Just So Stories". The random amateurs will listen to people who have been there, lacking bull**** theory to blind them.

Absolutely. Obama was a feckless president and thought he could buy a friend so to speak. That was perceived as weakness. Trump, for all his faults, sees the leadership for what they are. They all talk in hyperbole as Saddam did, mother of all battles and that ****, but when the rubber meets the road and the heat is ratcheted up, we kicked Saddams ass. The same will happen with these clowns. The respect only force. You cannot reason with a bunch of fanatical mullahs.

Having spent time in the sand so to speak 29 years ago, there is nothing over there worth fighting for.

Just seems apropo:
Quote:
Lord Pembroke gives several illustrations in his Introduction to Old New Zealand, an account of the country and people by a Pakeha or English Maori.

A distinguished friend of mine in New Zealand once asked a Maori
chief who had fought against us in the Waikato why, when he had com
mand of a certain road, he did not attack the ammunition and provision
trains. ‘W'hy, you fool ! ’ answered the Maori, much astonished, ‘if we
had stolen their powder and food how could they have fought? '

In another case related by a former Archdeacon of Tauranga
as within his own knowledge, one set of combatants sent a
message to the other to say that they were short of provisions and
the enemy promptly despatched a supply. The same spirit was
displayed in a still more complete form by a chief who, on being
reproached by another whom he had insulted with his superiority
in arms and ammunition, divided his equipment into two halves
and sent one half to the enemy. In the days of chivalry knights used courtesies to
each other to enable an adversary to fight on equal terms or to
continue the combat, and stories are told of similar behavior
in naval warfare. In such cases the motives seem to be two-fold ;
they are the pleasure of fighting and the glory of victory, both
of which are enhanced by assisting the enemy. Neither can be
construed into a love of peace.

JFK, and Dwight D. Eisenhower both warned American people of the military industrial complex.

There will always be a “war” or action going on somewhere as long as there is the conflict of interest where so many politicians are invested in said complex.

I Was doing work for a client when Obama escalated attacks in Middle East.
Said client worked for, and was heavily invested in (military supply) company.
The glee his wife had in fact they were sending so many drone attacks into the Middle East was sickening.
“Work had gotten slow, now because of all the ——- being used, (husband) working more, and stocks going up again.”
Then to hear them talk how the company was pitting people in poor communities against each other here in u.s. to make more profits....
They were unable to see deaths, poverty, only $$$$$.

Sad state of affairs.

Yes. I remember when the Yanks re-elected George "WMDs" Bush, even though he admitted it was all made up as a pretense to invade. I could not believe that Americans did that. It was wild.

And then I made a crap-ton of money on the spike in oil prices, and felt guilty all the way to the bank. Talk about being torn. I can see why the M/I complex has the sway it does, and the ability to invent wars to make money off of 3rd world countries and taxpayer dollars.

I still cashed those cheques, though. I guess that makes me as guilty as anybody.

Kicking the can down the road as those before Trump did lead to things such as this. Trump has always stated he does not want to start any wars and bring troops home. Trump also stated that any US citizen or soldier is in harms way or killed will result in a reaction.

Why is Trump's decision bad? Was Bill Clinton's and Obama's decision to conduct missions similar in Iran bad as well? Did WW3 begin?

This was done under Obama.
