I'm deeply sorry for this. That hurt to read. But I do hope that the two of you will prevail through this.

Re: What's on your mind - Part 2

I was about to write something in another thread that would have been hypocritical. Iíve been pretty stressed recently and know there are things I can change. Iíve not been looking after myself, despite knowing that I ought to, and the stress is affecting me in various ways.

I donít know how to wrap this post up so Iíll just hit submit.

'Tis the season for the "All I Want for Christmas is a Blowjob" threads.

I don't frequent other forums, so maybe this is a common refrain; but, geez, really? Guys have been married for umpteen years and now want to know how to get their penis sucked on the regular.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

Oh no @Personal. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of stress you and your family are under. Please know that you are in my prayers.

Are there a lot of those threads "popping up"?

I think their best bet is yoga and a lot of stretching exercise.

Re: What's on your mind - Part 2

Who said that the mall is dead? I had to pass by one of our malls yesterday and it was crazy. Cars backed up just trying to get to the main entrance. Parking lot looked jammed. Seems people still like to face the mobs this time of year rather than do most of their shopping online.

I refuse to make anyone a priority in my life who considers me nothing more than an option.

You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

Today the air is thick with acrid smoke, while burnt leaves sometimes fall from the sky. All while we hear the drumbeat of water bombers as they fly overhead.

My goodness, @Personal, your life is super stressful. Your family is in my prayers--serious illness, environmental fires and home stress, holiday season. Some things you can help and some are beyond your control.

I have friends who have learned he has a terminal illness, but no timeline. They are devoting each day to living their best life and loving each other. In the past they worried to the extreme, now God is in charge. We each do this differently, hope you find your peace and comfort. Hugs...

Re: What's on your mind - Part 2

@sunsetmist thanks that said it could be worse, so it isn't that bad. Oh and of the uncontrolled bushfires, they're not that close to us at 16km away. So at this point we don't expect them to get much closer since the conditions have eased off a bit today. It certainly does offer a surreal backdrop to our Christmas season this year.

As to your friend, I'm sorry to read that, it must be heartbreaking for everyone. That said we're all running towards our own end, so at least we are all in fine company.

I did not mean to minimize your valley of problems! Breast cancer is most scary along with al the other stuff. It is difficult to know how to exist, communicate, support.

I only thought of them because she lived in fear all their married life and her greatest fear was realized. At that point, she changed to be strong for him and he continues to be strong for her--but their love is evident as they focus on each day and her lifelong anxiety has eased--it is obvious to all--and they are at /in the peace of the Lord.
