strange things

A friend of mine lives in a small apartment complex. She was walking by the pool today and noticed a small voodoo doll tied to the fence around the pool.

Does anyone have any idea what this could mean?

That's what I'm thinking.

I told her not to get in the water. Who knows what curse was put on it. (Only half joking)

The one by the pool looks much creepier than the eBay one. Yikes!

Re: strange things

Way back, when I was getting divorced....I chatted with an awesome group of people on an MLC site. We found a fun site with virtual voodoo dolls. Omg we had fun with that!!

Re: strange things

That's actually pretty cool. You should get your sewing kit out and have some fun with it.

I've always wondered what would happen if voodoo was real and you took a doll and started embroidering its little outfit with your favorite sports team's logos and stuff like that. Does the person suddenly become a Dallas Mavericks fan?

"I dont even like sports, but suddenly I really want to see Luka and Kristaps play basketball and I don't know why. I don't even know how I know those names!"

Or would I be killing them? I don't understand voodoo. I guess I need to take a trip to Louisiana and learn, but that state sucks major peen and I truly believe it's the worst state in the US. All the coonass folks are annoying and it's like you see a dude like that in Texas and you automatically assume they are on meth but in Louisiana, that's just how they look you know? Someone from Louisiana has to be on this site. There's at least one person who went to LSU and got a degree of some sorts so they can figure out the internet and they will tell you about coonass folks.

No offense meant btw, I'm just messing around... but if you are from Louisiana, you know damn well what I'm talking about do not deny it!

If my devils are to leave me, I'm afraid my angels will take flight as well.

Was he from Louisiana or are you saying I should request a lawyer after that post? Haven't we all seen Joe Dirt? That "home is where you make it" guy... I'm not supposed to poke a little fun at that? Those guys are all over Louisiana. For the record folks, coon and coonass are two different slang terms. One is derogatory towards blacks. One is like a badge of honor those cajun weirdos use to describe themselves. Just to clear that up in case there's any questions... get cultured and don't judge me. I'm just foolin around...

Re: strange thing

@TheDudeLebowski

I thought Voodoo etc was something people from there used to believe in, until I recently visited there. I was amazed how into it people still were, along with fortune telling etc. I thought all of that stuff was fairly cheesy, but it sure didn’t seem like it was viewed that way in Louisiana.

Beignets were awesome, so they get a nod for some of the food!

Ciao,
