I work for an American based company. We have Thanksgiving off, so my wife cooks up a Thanksgiving feast!

Happy Thanksgiving every one.

Whose's already cooking?

I've been making pies and getting things chopped up for the stuffing. Even made bread (keto) for the stuffing.

Not at all. The original Thanksgiving was celebrated by British people who were living in America.

Years past we would have loaded four turkeys and two large pork butts (Kalua style) into the imu (Hawaiian earthen oven) overnight for tomorrow’s feast, but this it is much smaller affair. We are cooking one turkey (which by we, means me), sister-in-law is doing the other one and sides are split with others gathering tomorrow. I have already started some of the prep.

No. It was manufactured by Lincoln's staff to propagandize, "One Nation Under God." Which the Unites STATES of America never was until 1865.

Thanksgiving is a propagandized "holiday". We will be doing the day off.

I'm smoking pork.
One year, we did a Low Country Boil. No turkey necessary

The fixings will not include cranberry, stuffing, or any other stupid Yankee ****.

This Federal occupation "holiday" will not be celebrated with Johnny-come-lately Puritan crap.

Dinner at our house but every one chipping in. 37 people. Whew Chile! I made the potato salad, cupcakes for the kids and rolls from scratch.

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your day!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I have a smoked turkey thigh I'll throw in the oven later.

I'll make some mashed potatoes later and I have a jar of gravy.

I bought a pumpkin roll instead of making one. I'm actually good at that, but had no desire to get into that cleanup project when I'm done.

I could have made pumpkin pie, but for the same reasons, I didn't.

I made some cabbage casserole the other day. It's like unrolled pigs in the blanket. The rest of the cabbage, I made into coleslaw.

I have some jellied cranberry sauce.

I'll throw on a can of green beans.

That's it for me. I'll make just enough to have some for a few days.

I almost made a ham. It was close.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

They are flying the balloon floats in the Macy's parade. If they have wind like we had and they usually do get ours a day or so later, I pity them.

I'm going to watch and see if anyone is crushed and killed by a balloon or a light fixture that broke apart after being rammed. They should have walked down the street without them being blown up. They could just drag them. lol jk

Good luck to them, seriously.
