Re: What did your life look like 10 years ago?

I was so very sad. I had just moved into my dream home, but I already knew it was short lived, as I was no longer in love with my husband and knew divorce was in our future, even though he didn’t believe me. I also knew that equity in the house was going to skyrocket so that is why I made that investment, even though I knew it would end up being sold in the divorce.

I was so disappointed that my marriage was failing. Sad that I couldn’t help him (emotionally) and that I knew nothing would ever change. I cared so much for him (and still do). I was trying to convince myself I could stay long enough to get my kids through school. I was hiding the truth from everyone who knew me, EVERYONE. I was pouring myself into my business and making as much money as possible.

It was about the saddest time in my life.

I hope others replies are more cheerful that mine!

Ciao,

Spicy

About 10 years ago I didn't know I would be an onsite witness too the largest disaster in the Gulf of Mexico known to man. It forever had a trickle down
effect on my job and future dealings with the government. I was however, proud to be in some small way able to help with the relief well that
brought it under control. A few months later I met up with some of the guys on board that rig on that day ..... they still looked shell shocked.

That day will forever mark my industry of employment

I was in worse financial shape, and I worked from home full time. My kids were all young. I didn't like my life as much then as I do now.

I was very wealthy and blissfully unaware that my drug and sex addicted wife was banging everything this side of Dallas.

June 2009 Bruce Springsteen played Glastonbury in the UK as part of his European tour. Myself and my best friend were there.
For the next month we followed him around Europe. Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, France, and Denmark. On a few occasions we stayed at the same hotel that the boss was staying at but we never met him.
And I scored in every city we visited.
When I donít feel proud about this I will realize Iím starting to grow up lol.

I had a bunch of people in my life that I thought were my friends, but weren't. The amount of time and effort I wasted on those toxic people...

We were starting over after the financial crisis hit us at the beginning of 2009. We had a 1 year old baby and the future looked scary.

Being a lurker on TAM reading how to catch a suspected cheating fiancee. With all the information, I did.

Also a kick ass AC/DC concert. Was going to take ex, went with brother instead.

My Dad brought my brother to an AC/DC gig in Dublin in 1982.
That was two years before I was born.
Those guys have been around for a long time.

I believe they have been around early/mid 1970's. They have to be in the 70's now.

Many of these old rock bands need to retire with some dignity.

Re: What did your life look like 10 years ago?

Funny, I was just thinking about this on my walk into the office this morning - the same office I have had for 11 years now.

And my life is so - consistent! I don't know if I should view that as good or bad.

10 years ago my life looked much like it does today - I simply earn more money now, have a nicer car, my horse as grown up to become an absolute dream.

Same husband, same company, same city - and they all make me happy.

Same weight, same hair color, and if I dare say, bless good genes my skin hasn't aged either.

I have less stress now than I did 10 years ago due to being more financially stable. 2008 was a doozy and it took some digging out of.
